Ayo Omidiran only woman as Minister inaugurates new Board of Trustees for NOC
Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), has inaugurated new Board of Trustees, including Honorable Ayo Omidiran as the only woman appointed among the seven-member committee in Abuja.
Until her latest appointment, Hon. (Mrs) Omidiran represented Ayedaade, Irewole, Isokan Federal Constituency of Osun State in Nigeria’s House of Representatives between 2011 and 2019. She was also recently chairman NFF Women Football Development Committee and as well owns a women football club, Omidiran Babes.
“We just concluded the inauguration of the new board of trustees of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) which is very important for the Olympic Committee. They have a lot of roles to play. The term of reference has been read out to them,” Engineer Gumel said after the inauguration.
“It’s so important and because of their integrity, they have got their letter of appointment. For me, they will do well to help the NOC and promote sports development in Nigeria.”
