Babafemi Raji exits as Super Eagles Media Officer

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed a new imagemaker to be in charge of the senior men’s national team following the expiration of the tenure of the former Media Officer.

In a letter that the former Media Officer, Babafemi Raji sent to the NFF President to appreciate the opportunity to serve, he confirmed the end of his tenure and the appointment of Promise Efoghe of Television Continental (TVC) as his successor.

“I am writing to extend my heartfelt appreciation to you and the entire executive of the Nigeria Football Federation for the incredible opportunity given to me to serve as the Media Officer for the Super Eagles,” the letter read.

“Working with the NFF has been an honour. I am deeply grateful for the trust and confidence you placed in me to carry out this important role. It has been a journey filled with invaluable experiences and cherished memories.

“I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to the players of the Super Eagles and all the officials. The cordial working relationship and mutual respect have been instrumental in achieving our collective goals. Your professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence have been truly inspiring.

“As I look forward to the future, I wish the Super Eagles continued success and greater heights. I am confident that with the outstanding leadership of the NFF and the exceptional talents of our players and officials, the team will achieve more remarkable feats on the global stage. Once again, thank you for the wonderful opportunity and for your continued support.” The letter concluded.

Raji has been the Media Officer of the Super Eagles for 43 months and projected the team while working with the first Sports Radio in Nigeria and Africa, Brila FM.

The highlight of the team during this time is a silver winning feat at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) earlier this year in Cote d’Ivoire under former coach, Jose Peseiro as he also bagged the national honour, Member of the Order of Niger (MON).

TVS’s Efoghe will take charge as the team Media Officer.
