Balotelli buzzing over Osimhen’s new jersey number at Galatasaray

Former Inter Milan star Mario Balotelli has expressed his enthusiasm for Victor Osimhen’s new shirt number at Galatasaray.

Osimhen, who recently joined the Turkish club on a season-long loan, will wear the number 45 shirt—a number closely associated with Balotelli throughout his career.

The 34-year-old Italian striker donned the No. 45 at various clubs, including Inter Milan, Liverpool, Manchester City, Milan, Brescia, Monza, and Adana Demirspor.

Balotelli, who last played in the Super Lig with Adana Demirspor, where he scored seven goals in sixteen appearances last season, took to Instagram to show his support. He liked a post featuring Osimhen with his new shirt and commented with a fire emoji.

Previously, Balotelli had praised Osimhen for his pivotal role in securing Napoli’s first Serie A title in 33 years.

During a celebratory Instagram live session, Balotelli told Osimhen, “Trust me, you did something incredible, my friend. You still don’t realize the magnitude of what you achieved. It will take years for you to fully understand just how remarkable it is.”

Balotelli has consistently supported Osimhen, even defending him during the recent TikTok controversy with Napoli.
