Bankole Olowookere reveals his No.1 priority as Naija Ratels technical adviser
By Saheed Afolabi
Head coach of Naija Ratels, Bankole Olowookere has revealed that his main target is to improve his personal feat at the club following his side’s 6-0 triumph over Paul E at the final of the FCT FA Cup at Area 3 Sport Complex, Abuja.
Before the FCT FA Cup success, Olowookere had qualified Ratels to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six on their maiden Nigerian topflight campaign and will be keen to replicate the feat this season.
With Ratels in contention for this year’s Super Six, the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup bronze winning tactician is eager to develop and expose his talents by qualifying his club to the NWFL Premiership finals this season
“For Naija Ratels, we’ve qualified for the Federation Cup, we now have to improve on our records. The league is still there and there is still race for the Super Six,”
“For the league, qualifying for the Super Six is my target, if any other thing comes after that, I thank God. If I can win the league, good, but the league title is not my target but qualify for the Super Six, so that I can have an avenue to develop the girls.”
However, Naija Ratels are still in contention to qualify for the Super Six as they occupy the third position in the NWFL Premiership abridged Group A with ten points from seven matches.
Ratels will square up against Royal Queens at the Old Parade Group Area 10, Abuja on Wednesday 22nd of March.
