By Saheed Afolabi
Katsina United head coach, Bashir Sadauki, has urged his team to finish the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season on a strong note.
This call to action follows their impressive 4-0 victory over the Savannah Scorpions, bringing their total to 52 points from 35 games.
Sadauki praised his players for adhering to their tactical principles and learning from past mistakes, emphasizing the importance of caution and diligence in the remaining matches to secure a robust finish in the league.
“I commend the effort of the players for playing up to the tactics. We worked on the problems noticed in the last game, and they corrected them today,” Sadauki said during the post-match interview. “Though Gombe United are in the relegation zone, they are not pushovers.”
He further stressed the need to approach each game with caution and focus. “We have to address every game as it comes and hopefully get positive results. The league is still open, and we are working to finish strong at the end of the season.”
The Changi Boys will face Akwa United in their next league match on Wednesday, June 12.
