Bayer Leverkusen have set a €50 million asking price for Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, as interest in the in-demand forward intensifies ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to German outlet BILD, the Bundesliga champions are open to selling Boniface as part of financial adjustments, despite his successful debut campaign in Germany.
The 23-year-old played a key role in Leverkusen’s historic double-winning season, helping the club secure both the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal.
Leverkusen have already moved to sign Ivorian forward Christian Kofane, seen as a long-term replacement for Boniface. The club reportedly intends to retain Czech striker Patrick Schick for the upcoming season.
Boniface, who joined Leverkusen from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise two years ago, has attracted strong interest from several clubs, including Premier League side Newcastle United and others across Europe.
With his combination of strength, movement, and eye for goal, Boniface is widely regarded as one of the brightest emerging forwards in European football and a key figure for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
