Beyond Limits, Chummie make winning starts to 2023 Ogun State FA Cup outings

Beyond Limits Academy defeated Ogun Greater Tomorrow FC 3-0 with captain Onyebusi Obasi opening the scoring for Remo Stars Academy side from the penalty spot at Sagamu centre as the 2023 Ogun State FA Cup kicked off across four centres with teams progressing to the next round on Tuesday.
Chummie had earlier secured a 2-0 win over Raven S. FC courtesy of goals from Salaudeen Sulaimon and Afi Paul and Chummie FC coach, Salako Samuel reflects on the win, while looking ahead for Beyond Limits Academy clash.
“It was a good start. There is a lot of work to be done with the team. It wasn’t what we expected from the game,” Samuel told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“We will work harder to get good results. With the preparation, we expected good result and what we are after is just three points. Football is a game of 90 minutes. It’s not decided probably by the oldest team in a competition. It’s for us to go home to do our assignment and come back better.”
Meanwhile, in Ijebu Ode centre, MKA FC edged De Bash FC 3-2 as Ladegbuwa FC defeated Wusu FC 2-0.
In Ilaro centre, Customs pipped Adiyan FC 1-0 while Heyfash earned a 2-1 win over Craig.
Ikenne centre produced the game with the highest number of scoreline as Best Talent thrashed Gadmaj 8-0 while Imperial FC recorded a 4-2 win on penalties against Dino SC.
Winners of games at each centres will face each other on Thursday in a bid to set up clashes with seeded teams from each centres. Ijebu United, Remo Stars, Gateway United, and Stormers FC await Thursday’s winners.
