Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni: NWFL mourns passing of former Falconets, Rivers Angels goalkeeper

The board of Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL has joined rest of football community to mount the death of former Nigeria U20 goalkeeper, Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni who died on Friday.
The late Aluko-Olaseni played for notable women league clubs in Nigeria including Ekiti Babes, Sunshine Queens and Rivers Angels, passed away after an arduous eight-year battle with cancer.
She also did well during her time as a member of Nigeria U20 (Falconets) team with exceptional skills and unwavering determination.
Additionally, she featured prominently for several Nigeria Women Football League sides, where her impact was felt both on and off the pitch before her forced retirement from football in 2017.
In a commiseration message signed by the chairperson of NWFL, Nkechi Obi, the late Aluko-Olaseni was described a thoroughbred professional whose impact on the game will be greatly felt.
She prayed God to repose her soul and grant her immediate family and rest of football community the comfort to bear her demise.
