Blessing Nkor scores winning goal for Asya against Trabzonspor

Nigeria forward Blessing Nkor played a pivotal role for her Turkish top-flight team, Asya, as she scored the winning goal in their 2-1 triumph over Trabzonspor on Sunday.
Asya fell behind in the 45th minute but managed to turn the tide in the second half. Nkor showcased her talent by doubling the lead for Asya in the 77th minute, a goal that proved crucial in securing the win.
Despite Trabzonspor pulling a goal back in the 90th minute, Asya held on to claim a vital victory. The Gaziantep-based team now sits in 13th place on the league table with 23 points from 25 games, just one point behind Trabzonspor.
Their next challenge awaits them as they prepare to face ALG Spor in another league encounter on March 30, 2024.
Nkor, who previously played for Ibom Angels and Sunshine Queens in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership before moving abroad, has made a significant impact in her debut season for Asya, tallying nine goals since joining from Tanzania side Yanga Princess.
