Boost for Nigeria as Wilfred Ndidi makes winning return for Leicester City

Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, made an exciting return to action on his 180th Premier League appearance for the Foxes in their home triumph over Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power stadium.
The 26-year-old Leicester City man came on as a substitute in the 69th as Leicester City came from behind to thrash Tottenham 4-1 on Saturday.
The Super Eagles midfielder has been sidelined for the past three weeks after sustaining an injury in training, missing the Foxes’ last three games across all competitions.
Despite his fitness issues, the Nigerian has featured in 14 Premier League games for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season and has now made his 225th appearance for Leicester City since he joined the club from Belgian outfit Genk in January 2017.
Ndidi was one of the first names on City’s team sheet, with results dropping off considerably when he was unavailable. Now, he faces a real battle to regain his starting spot with the pool of talents in the midfield of the Foxes.
His return is also a major boost for the Super Eagles and Jose Peseiro ahead of their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match in March.
