Brøndby Sign Super Eagles Forward Emmanuel Dennis on Deal Until 2028

Eleven-time Danish champions Brøndby IF have officially announced the signing of Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis, ending the forward’s search for a new club following his release by Premier League side Nottingham Forest in August 2025.
The 28-year-old impressed the club’s technical staff during Brøndby’s recent training camp, prompting the Danish giants to hand him a contract that will run until the summer of 2028.
Dennis is currently in England finalising his residence and work permit, after which he will link up with his new teammates in Denmark. Brøndby have indicated that the administrative process could extend into February before he is fully cleared to feature.
The Super Eagles attacker has been without competitive action since making a brief appearance for Blackburn Rovers—playing the final seven minutes of a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United on the last day of the 2024/25 season.
Dennis brings a wealth of European experience to Brøndby, having previously featured for Zorya Luhansk, Club Brugge, FC Cologne, Istanbul Başakşehir, Watford, and Nottingham Forest.
Reacting to the move, Dennis expressed his excitement on Brøndby’s official website.
“I am very happy to have signed with the club. I have seen video clips of the fans. They have a lot of energy, and so do I. I really appreciate the club giving me this opportunity and I am very excited to get started. Hopefully we will achieve great things together.”
He also spoke glowingly about his early interactions with the squad.
“The first week with the boys was fantastic. We found chemistry really quickly. They welcomed me so well that it felt like we had known each other for years. I could feel the love right away, and that made it even more attractive to me.”
Dennis has been handed the number 7 jersey for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season, with expectations high that his pace, versatility, and attacking threat will add significant firepower to Brøndby’s title ambitions.
