Brooklyn Ezeh: German-born Nigerian joins Bundesliga side Hannover
By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
German Bundesliga outfit, Hannover 96 have completed the signing Brooklyn Ezeh, on a three-year contract with an 12-month extension option.

Born in Hamburg, Ezeh is moving to Maschsee from second division promoted side, Wehen Wiesbaden.
The 22-year-old left-back went through Hamburger SV youth side up to the U-19 before moving to the U-19 team at FC Schalke 04 in 2019 and rosed into the men’s division, starring for the Gelsenkirchen U-23 until January 2020.
Coming after a six-month deal at Viktoria Berlin, the move to SV Wehen Wiesbaden materialized in 2022 summer.
At Wehen Wiesbaden, Ezeh not only impressed in the regular season with strong performances, scoring two goals and six assists but also in the promotion-relegation game against Arminia Bielefeld.
The Wiesbadeners prevailed against the East Westphalians with two wins, to which the 22-year-old contributed two more assists.
“Hannover 96 tried extremely hard for me. Those responsible showed me that they were pursuing a clear plan with me,” Ezeh told the club website.
“I’m happy to prove myself in a new league and to be able to take the next step in my career here.  I’ve heard a lot of good things about the team and I can’t wait to finally get to know the lads.”
