Brown Ideye Embarks on LaLiga Venture After Bidding Farewell to Tianjin Teammates

Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye has bid farewell to his compatriot Mikel Obi and other Tianjin Teda teammates, signaling his imminent move to LaLiga club Malaga on a six-month loan deal. The departure follows Tianjin Teda’s winter training match in Marbella, Spain, where Ideye was notably absent as the team faced Kickers Offenbach, as reported by sports.sina.com.cn. The Chinese outlet disclosed that Malaga engaged in substantial negotiations with Tianjin Teda, finalizing the loan agreement before the closure of the January transfer window.

Ideye’s time at Tianjin Teda was marred by challenges since his arrival from Olympiacos. Despite the significant €12 million paid by Tianjin Teda to Olympiakos for Ideye’s services in 2016, the striker encountered difficulties securing a spot in the first team, particularly since the past summer.

The move to LaLiga offers Ideye a fresh start and an opportunity to reignite his career. Malaga, currently positioned at the bottom of the 2017/2018 La Liga table with 11 points, eagerly anticipates the addition of Ideye to bolster their squad. The loan deal serves as a strategic maneuver for Ideye to showcase his prowess and contribute to Malaga’s efforts to climb the league standings.

As Ideye bids farewell to his Tianjin Teda chapter, the LaLiga adventure awaits, promising new challenges and prospects for the Nigerian striker.
