Alanyaspor Expresses Interest in Acquiring Emmanuel Emenike from Olympiacos

Turkish Super Lig club Alanyaspor has emerged as a potential suitor for former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike, igniting speculation about a possible move just six months after his summer transfer from Fenerbahce to Greek club Olympiacos. The 30-year-old striker, who has also been linked with a loan move to Istanbul Başakşehir, is reportedly being considered as a replacement for Vagner Love, set to join Besiktas before the close of the January transfer window.

Reports in Friday’s edition of Turkish daily Fotomac suggest that Alanyaspor sees Emenike as a prime candidate to fill the void left by Vagner Love’s anticipated departure. Emenike, who last featured for Olympiacos in their 1-0 loss to Panathinaikos on October 28, 2017, could bring a wealth of experience and firepower to Alanyaspor’s offensive lineup.

The 30-year-old striker, with an extensive career that includes stints at Karabukspor, Fenerbahçe, Spartak Moscow, Al Ain, and West Ham, has netted four goals for Olympiacos since his transfer from Fenerbahce. Three of these goals were in the Greek Cup, with one additional strike in the UEFA Champions League.

As the January transfer window unfolds, the dynamics of Emenike’s potential move to Alanyaspor add an intriguing layer to the Turkish football landscape, with fans eagerly awaiting official announcements from the involved parties.
