CAF appoints Namibian officials for Black Bulls vs Rivers United Champions League tie

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Namibian referee Negongo Mweshitsama Naftal to officiate the CAF Champions League second-round first-leg clash between Mozambique’s Black Bulls and Nigeria’s Rivers United.

Naftal will be supported by fellow Namibians Alex Muzibwene Lumponjani (Assistant Referee 1) and Hangula Velinoma Angula (Assistant Referee 2), while Fillipus Hanyemunange Nghilinganye will serve as the fourth official.

Zanzibar’s Suleiman Othman has been designated as the match commissioner.

The first-leg fixture is scheduled to take place at the Campo da ABB Stadium in Maputo on Saturday, October 18.

The return leg will be held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, October 25, with Rivers United aiming to secure a place in the group stage of Africa’s premier club competition.
