CAF Confederation Cup: El-Kanemi Warriors get Benin Rep foes in Preliminary Stage

2024 President Federation Cup winners, El-Kanemi Warriors will face Dadje FC in the First Preliminary Round of the 2024/2025 CAF Confederation Cup.

The draw for the second tier CAF Inter Club competition was conducted in Cairo, Egypt as the Nigerian Cup Champions drawn against the Benin Republic side on Thursday.

The first leg will take place in Nigeria before the return leg in Benin Republic.

Moroccan side RS Berkane awaits the winner of the match on aggregate in the second preliminary round.

On the other hand, Enyimba International FC which finished third at the end of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) were drawn bye in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

They will face either Hafia FC (Guinea) or Rahimo/EFO (Burkina Faso) in the second preliminary round.

El-Kanemi Warriors qualified for the tournament after defeating Abia Warriors in the 2024 President Federation Cup final.

Meanwhile, Enyimba FC’s third place finish secured a place in the CAF Confederation Cup as they will not play in the first preliminary round due to their previous performance of winning the CAF Champions League twice.
