The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), in collaboration with title sponsor TotalEnergies, will unveil a brand-new trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Wednesday, 02 July 2025, ahead of the much-anticipated tournament kick-off this weekend.

The unveiling will take place in Morocco, the host nation for this year’s edition of WAFCON, and is part of a broader initiative by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe to elevate and grow women’s football across the African continent.

The new trophy will be revealed on CAF’s digital platforms on Wednesday afternoon, followed by an official Trophy Launch Event in the evening, held in collaboration with TotalEnergies and other partners.

The introduction of the redesigned trophy signifies a new chapter for women’s football in Africa, aligning with CAF’s strategic objectives to enhance the prestige and visibility of the women’s game.

The TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2024 officially kicks off on Saturday, 05 July 2025 at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, with hosts Morocco facing Zambia in the opening match at 21h00 local time (20h00 GMT / 22h00 Lusaka / 23h00 Cairo).

Full details and imagery of the new trophy design will be shared during the official launch on 02 July.
