The Confederation of African Football, CAF have appointed Pacifique Ndabihawenimana from Burundi as Referee for the Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup second-leg quarter-final clash between Algerian side USM Alger and Rivers United.
Experienced Ndabihawenimana who was bagged as FIFA match official in 2013 is very vast in handling high profile matches.
He has officiated in this year’s Champions League and recent African Cup of Nations AFCON tournament.
Ndabihawenimana officiated the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League final between Kaizer Chiefs and Al Ahly.
He will be assisted by Sudanese Mohammed Ibrahim Assistant Referee l and Liban Ahmed from Djibouti will be the Assistant Referee ll.
Ahmad Heeralall from Mauritania will serve as the fourth official.
Kenyan’s Peter Kamaku will be in charge of the Video Assistant Referee while South African Abongile Tom will be his assistant.
The encounter will be played at the Stade du Julliet in Algiers on Sunday.
The Pride of Rivers defeated USMA 1-0 in the first leg last weekend.
