CAFCC: Clinton Jephta optimistic about Enyimba’s chances against Zamalek

By Wale Mustapha

Enyimba striker Clinton Jephta is confident that his team will secure all three points when they face Zamalek FC of Egypt on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The People’s Elephants will host the defending champions at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo for their Matchday Two fixture in the group stage.

Enyimba began their group stage campaign with a loss to another Egyptian side, Al Masry, but Jephta remains upbeat about their prospects.

“Our spirit is very high, and we are fully prepared for the game,” said Jephta. “We are confident we will win, and I can assure our fans of that.”

“We have the quality, and we’ve been working very hard to achieve our goals,” he added.

Looking ahead to the competition, Jephta expressed ambition for his side, stating: “We are aiming to go far in the tournament, and our main target is to reach at least the semi-finals.”
