CAFCC: Enyimba begins continental quest against Etoile de Filante

Nigerian giants Enyimba will start their CAF Confederation Cup journey with a two-legged tie against Burkina Faso’s Etoile de Filante.
Enyimba, who were given a bye in the first round due to their strong coefficient in African club competitions, will kick off their campaign against a resilient Etoile de Filante.
The People’s Elephants finished third in the last Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, behind Enugu Rangers and Remo Stars.
Etoile de Filante progressed to this stage after edging out Guinea’s Hafia FC on away goals. They managed a 1-1 draw away in the first leg and a 0-0 stalemate in the second leg.
The first leg of the tie will see Enyimba travel to Burkina Faso to face Etoile de Filante on September 13. The return leg will be hosted by Enyimba on September 20.
