CAFCC: RB Berkane touch down in Benin for showdown with Bendel Insurance

Moroccan giants, RB Berkane have arrived Benin City, Edo State capital in time for their CAF Confederation Cup, Second Round, first leg tie against Bendel Insurance FC on Saturday in Benin.

The Orange as Berkane are fondly called will be taking on the Benin Arsenals at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin on Saturday.

Berkane who won the competition in 2022 arrived Lagos in the early hours of Thursday through Air Maroc before connecting another flight to Benin the same day.

The former CAF Confederation Cup champions announced their movement through an official ‘X’ handle with picture that was accompanied by a caption: “We’re off to Lagos”.

Earlier, Bendel Insurance had defeated Algerian club, ASO Chlef in the first round to set up a second round clash with Berkane, who were drawn bye for the first round ties.

The second leg of the clash will be decided in Berkans in a week’s time.
