CAFCC: Rivers United fly out to Tanzania for Young Africans showdown

Nigeria’s sole representatives at the 2023 CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers United are expected to leave the country today (Thursday) for the Quarterfinal second leg fixture against Young Africans Sports Club in Tanzania.
Rivers United lost 2-0 in the first leg in Uyo last Sunday with Fiston Mayele scoring both goals.
The Nigerian champions are to depart for Dar es Salaam, Tanzania by 1:35pm aboard Ethiopian Airline from Lagos.
The second leg tie will take place on Sunday 30th of April, 2023 and slated for the 60,000 Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Rivers United will need to score three goals without conceding any to stand any chance of reaching the semifinal.
