CAFCC: South African referee to officiate Rivers United clash with Young Africans

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) have appointed South African experienced referee, Abongile Tom as center referee for the Rivers United first leg tie against Young African in the CAF Confederations Cup.
Angola’s Ivanildo Sanchez will officiate as the Assistant Referee one, Abelmiro Negro will hold the position of Assistant Referee two while Djindo Louis will be the Reserve Referee for the encounter scheduled to hold at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo.
The Video Assistant Referee will be monitored by Hamza El Fariq and Adil Zourak from Morocco.
Rivers United will play host to Young African in the first leg on the 23rd of April after they finished second in group A while the Tanzanians top their group.
The Pride of Port-Harcourt emerged second in group A of the CAFCC with ten points from six matches winning three matches, loosing two and sharing the spoils in a game.
A win for the Nigeria side will give them an edge going to the second leg in Tanzania.
