Twenty-five players have been invited to camp as the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon step up preparations for their pre-WAFCON international friendlies against Nigeria’s Nigeria women’s national football team.
The players are expected to converge at the team’s training camp in Mundi ahead of the double-header warm-up matches scheduled for Saturday, 28 February, and Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
The squad is largely composed of players from the Cameroon Women’s Championship, with a few foreign-based professionals included to strengthen the team.
Both matches will form part of preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, as the two continental heavyweights fine-tune strategies ahead of the tournament.
Cameroon have been drawn in Group D alongside Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mali, while Nigeria will compete in Group C against Zambia, Egypt, and Malawi.
The friendlies are expected to renew the fierce rivalry between the Lionesses and the Falcons as both sides intensify preparations for continental glory.

Since February 2018, Samuel has been the Social Media Manager for Nigeria's women's national teams.In 2019, Samuel joined the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a women's football content contributor and was promoted to Women's Football Editor in 2021. His contributions to women's football continued as he worked as a Media Consultant for Content Creation and Editorials at the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League. Currently, Samuel also serves as the spokesman for the Nigeria Women Football League, further solidifying his influence and dedication to the growth of women's football in Africa.
