“Can’t be put into words” – Mohammed Tijani recounts first Championship goal for Plymouth

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian striker Mohammed Tijani expressed immense joy after scoring his first goal for Plymouth Argyle in the English Championship.

Tijani’s goal came in the 67th minute of their 1-1 draw against Cardiff at Home Park on Saturday.

The encounter had started poorly for Plymouth, as Youcef Saleh gave Cardiff the lead just 12 minutes into the match.

However, Tijani’s equalizer kept the hosts in the contest.

While the former Flying Eagles forward wished for a victory, he was overjoyed to score in front of the home fans.

Reflecting on the moment, Tijani shared his excitement, taking to the social media.

“The feeling of scoring my first goal in front of our fans at Home Park can’t be put into words. Thanks for fighting with us, we keep pushing,” he wrote on X.

Tijani, who joined Plymouth on loan from Czech side Baník Ostrava last summer, has made seven league appearances for the team under manager Miron Muslic.
