Changchun Triumphs Over Jiangsu: Ighalo Shines as Moukandjo Opens the Scoring

In a thrilling encounter at the Changchun Yatai Stadium, Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo showcased his goal-scoring prowess, propelling Changchun Yatai to a resounding 3-1 victory over Jiangsu Suning FC in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.
The game opened with an electrifying start as Indomitable Lions of Cameroon skipper Benjamin Moukandjo swiftly put Jiangsu in the lead within the first minute. However, Ighalo, the red-hot forward for Changchun, responded with a stellar performance. In the 29th minute, he expertly drew Changchun level, setting the stage for an intense battle.
Changchun took control in the second half, with Rui Yu delivering a decisive goal in the 50th minute, giving the home side a 2-1 advantage. The match reached its climax in the 82nd minute when Zhenyu Du sealed Changchun’s triumph with a goal, securing a 3-1 win.
Ighalo’s exceptional display marked another milestone in his prolific career, with the striker having now netted an impressive 15 goals in 25 league appearances for Changchun Yatai.
Following this victory, Changchun Yatai has ascended to the eighth position in the 16-team league, amassing a total of 38 points. The team’s remarkable performance has further solidified their standing in the highly competitive Chinese Super League.
