Chiamaka Nnadozie and Monle Omini nominated for CAF Goalkeeper of the year

Two Nigerian goalkeepers, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Monle Omini have been nominated for 2024 CAF Women’s goalkeeper of the year.
Nnadozie secured consecutive nomination after winning the maiden African women’s goalkeeper of the year award last year.
Her superb saves for club and country ranked the Paris FC save hands as the best on the continent and one of the best in the world.
Omini on the other hand was behind the sticks as Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership champions, Edo Queens clinched the 2024 West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Qualifiers title making to the CAF Women’s Champions League.
At the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League, Omini kept two clean sheets in the group stage as Moses Aduku’s side upstaged two time winners, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies 2-1 to top Group B before a 3-1 loss after extra time to TP Mazembe in the semi final.
The two Nigerian goalie have eight other goalkeepers to contest the award with.
They are Cathy Biya (Cameroon), Fideline Ngoy (Democratic Republic of Congo), Habiba Sabry (Egypt), Fatima El Jebraoui (Morocco), Khadija Er-Ermichi (Morocco), Andile Dlamini (South Africa), Thandeka Ngcobo (South Africa), and Catherine Musonda (Zambia).
