Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has once again been shortlisted for the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, marking her third consecutive nomination as Africa’s football governing body unveiled the finalists for the 2025 honours.
The Brighton & Hove Albion shot-stopper has enjoyed another outstanding year for both club and country.
Nnadozie played a crucial role in the Super Falcons’ historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) triumph, helping Nigeria overturn a two-goal deficit to defeat hosts Morocco in a dramatic final.
Before her summer switch to the English Women’s Super League (WSL), the former Paris FC goalkeeper also guided the French side to Coupe de France success, further cementing her reputation as one of the world’s best in her position.
Nnadozie will now compete for the prestigious crown against Khadija Er-Rmichi of Morocco’s AS FAR and Andile Dlamini of South Africa.
Having won the inaugural award in 2023 and successfully defended it in 2024, the Nigerian international is aiming to complete a remarkable hat-trick at the 2025 ceremony.
