Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been nominated for the 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.

The Brighton & Hove Albion shot-stopper earned the nomination following an exceptional year for both club and country.

Nnadozie kept four clean sheets in six matches at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), helping the Super Falcons clinch their record-extending 10th continental title in Morocco.

Her outstanding performances also saw her named the Best Goalkeeper of WAFCON 2024, reaffirming her status as one of the finest goalkeepers on the continent.

The former Paris FC star, who won the first two editions of the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, will now look to claim the honour for a third consecutive time.

Nnadozie will compete for the prestigious prize against the following nominees:

Chloe Ngazi (Algeria)

Sedilame Boseja (Botswana)

Fideline Ngoy (DR Congo)

Janina Emad (Egypt)

Cynthia Konlan (Ghana)

Fatoumata Karentao (Mali)

Khadija Er-Rmichi (Morocco)

Adji Ndiye (Senegal)

Andile Dlamini (South Africa)

The CAF Awards 2025 ceremony will honour the continent’s best performers across various categories, with Nnadozie once again standing out as Nigeria’s leading hope between the posts.
