Chichi Faith: Nigeria Defender Wins Top Award in Liberia

Nigeria defender, Nwaigwe Chichi Faith was amongst the top awardees at the 2024 Liberia Football Association (LFA) Awards.
She emerged as the 2024 LFA Women’s Football best defender.
The former Tigresses FC player beat other players to win the award alongside her coach and two other teammates who smiled home with awards.
Team captains, coaches, and accredited journalists voted for award winners.
Faith has been a key figure for the Liberian women’s football league side, Shaita Angels Football.
Meanwhile, amidst controversies about the outcome of the award, LFA clarified that winners of the award were not selected by the Federation.
The Federation confirmed that results detailing how coaches, captains, and accredited journalists voted will be made available in due course.
