Chidinma Okeke: Nigeria defender helps Hapoel Beer Sheva silence Maccabi Hadera

Nigeria player, Chidinma Okeke is picking form at the right time as she was part of the goal scorers for her Israeli women’s league side, Hapoel Beer Sheva.
Hapoel Beer Sheva pipped Maccabi Kishronot Hadera 2-1 on Thursday at the Beer Sheva Rayser with Okeke playing a pivotal role.
The host had to earn the win in an uneasy fashion after going behind in the 18th minute before Biton Hodaya scored the first goal of the game for Hadera in the 18th minute of play.
Hapoel Beer Sheva had the chance to equalised from the penalty spot before halftime and Okeke capitalised on the chance by converting the penalty kick to equalise for the host in the 37th minute.
After first half stalemate, Beer Sheva left it late in the second half before Duncan Shakira’s 86th-minute goal to complete their comeback win over Maccabi Kishronot Hadera.
Former Madrid CFF player Okeke saw full 90 minutes for Hapoel Beer Sheva while her compatriot, Ramat Abdulkareem was replaced by Shanise Foster.
Okeke has scored two goals for Hapoel Beer Sheva this term while her compatriot Ramat Abdulkareem on her part has scored three league goals this season.
Hapoel Beer Sheva occupy the eighth position in the eight-team Israeli women’s flight league table with seven points from eleven games. The team will next face FC Kiryat Gat on January 5, 2023.
