Liaoning tightened their grip at the top of the Chinese Women’s Super League with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Wuhan on Sunday.

The home side made a fast start with Mu Quiye opening the scoring in the 11th minute before Fan Yiqiqoa doubled the advantage midway through the first half.

Nigerian forward Macleans Chinonyerem then stole the spotlight, netting twice in quick succession (38’, 42’) to give Liaoning a commanding lead.
