Chinwendu Ihezuo at the double in Pachuca victory over Cruz Azul

Nigeria forward, Chinwendu Ihezuo scored two goals to help her Mexican Liga MX Women’s side, Pachuca to a 4-1 win against Cruz Azul on Saturday.
Claudia Ibarra broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 23rd minute. The Mexican forward doubled the lead for Pachuca to give her side a two-goal lead before halftime.
Four minutes into the second half, Erica Gomes reduced the deficit for Cruz Azul.
Ihezuo, however restored her team’s two-goal lead In the 51st minute.
Three minutes later, the former Monterrey player scored her second goal which extended Pachuca’s lead to 4-1.
The goal increased the Nigerian’s tally to four after eight league games this season.
Ihezuo and her compatriots, Osinachi Ohale played the duration of the match for Pachuca.
With the victory, Pachuca moved to the third position on the table with 17 points after eight games, four points behind leaders, UANL Tigres, and two points short of second-placed Club America.
They are a point ahead of Monterrey which has an outstanding match in hand.
