Chinwendu Ihezuo inspires Monterrey to big win over Necaxa

Nigerian forward, Chinwendu Ihezuo opened the scoring as her Mexican Liga MX Women’s side, Monterrey thrashed Necaxa 4-0 in a league encounter on Saturday.
The former Chinese-based star scored the first goal of the game in the 40th minute to spur her team.
Karol Bernal doubled the lead in the 71st minute and increased the lead to three with her second goal five minutes later.
Ten minutes to the end of the encounter, Diana Garcia sealed the win with the last goal of the game.
Ihezuo saw 63 minutes of action before she was replaced by Carlee Giammona and the goal took her tally in the league to three after 11 games.
With the win, “Rayadas” as Monterrey are fondly called moved to the fourth position on the table with 23 points after 12.
On October 10, 2023, Monterrey will welcome Queretaro to the Cancha El Barrial, Santiago in their next league game.
