By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Plateau United defender, Christopher Nwaeze says his team is going all out to knock out Enyimba as the Federation Cup resumed on Wednesday across different centres in Nigeria for the Round of 32 for men.

The People’s Elephants are one of the big teams remaining in the Federation Cup, with Finidi George’s side defeated Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Champions, Rivers United on penalties in the Round of 64.

“It is very important and we are going all out. I believe that we are going to beat them because we need to win the Federation Cup to qualify for the continent.” Nwaeze told Brila FM.

“Football is all about win, lose, or draw. We have learnt from the mistake of losing in the league. We have made the mistake in the league and are going to fight back in the Federation Cup.”

Last time out in the NPFL, Enyimba earned a 2-1 win over Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side in Aba. Enyimba in second position in Group A is in pole position to qualify for the season-ending Super Six with a game to spare.

Plateau United is out of contention for the Super Six which will determine the league Champions and three continental qualifications.
