After the conclusion of the Taca de Portugal semi-final return leg, two Nigerian players will face off in the final next month.
Christy Ucheibe’s SL Benfica played out a 1-1 draw with Sporting in the return leg of the semi-final on Sunday.
Carole Costa’s 33rd-minute goal had separated both sides in the first leg.
Jessica Silva doubled the advantage in the return leg in the first 14 minutes of play.
Four minutes into the second half, Olivia Smith equalised to make the last 41 minutes a huge contest.
With Sporting unable to get another goal after 90 minutes, SL Benfica sealed a 2-1 win on aggregate to qualify for the final.
In the other semi-final match, Mercy Idoko scored a goal to help Racing Power to a 4-2 win and 6-3 success on aggregate.
The final match between SL Benfica and Racing Power will see Ucheibe tackle her compatriot, Idoko.
Both players will trade tackles on May 18, 2024, with one of the two Nigeria players smiling home with the title.
