Christy Ucheibe’s assist inspires SL Benfica to ruthless win over Vilaverdense

Nigeria midfielder, Christy Ucheibe bagged an assist as Portuguese champions, SL Benfica as the team recorded a 5-0 win against Vilaverdense on Sunday.
Ucheibe set up Andrea Falcon for the opening goal of the league match in the 28th minute, with the assist the Nigerian’s first for the team this season.
Kika Nazareth doubled the lead for SL Benfica three minutes later before getting her second goal of the match in the 44th minute.
In the second half, Marta Cintra scored the fourth goal for the visitors in the 49th minute from the penalty spot.
Falcon converted her second goal of the encounter in the 69th minute to seal a 5-0 win.
SL Benfica with the win tops the log with 24 points, two points ahead of Sporting.
The team will next face Eintracht Frankfurt in the group stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) on December 21.
This will be followed by another league match with Valadares Gaia in 2024.
