Confederation Cup: CAF moves Rivers United back to Godswill Akpabio Stadium

Rivers United have been ordered to make use of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo for their continental engagements this season after sailing through to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium didn’t meet the requirements of CAF and the Pride of Rivers will be making use of the Nest of Champions this season for the second consecration season in a row.
Rivers qualified for the group stage after quenching Etoile Filante 2-0 on aggregate in Port-Harcourt.
CAF rejected the use of Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium for not meeting up with its standard after inspection of it.
The Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium have hosted all Rivers United matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Pride of Rivers lost by a lone goal to Niger Tornadoes in the NPFL and will trade tackles with Remo Stars at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on October 11.
