Congratulations pour in for Victor Osimhen after Italian best award

Patrick Kluivert, a Dutch and Barcelona legend has expressed his heartfelt joy after Napoli star Victor Osimhen was named the best foreign athlete in Italy for 2022 by Stampa Estera on Monday.

The Nigeria international  beat hundreds of other sporting expatriates in the country to the honour. The 24-year-old has not only shone on the pitch, but he’s gaining massive reputation among the fans in the Metropolis.

Kluivert joined several other football stars and fans world over in congratulating Osimhen after the Napoli forward took to his Instagram page to express his emotions and appreciation on winning the prestigious award.

“Amazing feeling to be awarded the 2022 Best Foreign Athlete in Italy. Thank y’all for your support. God is the greatest,” Osimhen wrote.

In response, the former Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert wrote —”Well deserved brother congrats.”

Also among the first to flood his comment section with their well-wishes was former Manchester United ace Odion Ighalo, who wrote: “Congrats bro.

Acknowledging the magnitude of the award, Everton midfielder and Osimhen’s international teammate Alex Iwobi said ‘Big’. Napoli teammate Karim Zedadka also congratulated Osimhen.

“Well deserved bro,” Super Eagles winger Peter Olayinka noted.

Atletico Madrid star Reinildo Isnard Mandav also sent Osimhen his well-wishes and prayers.
