Nigeria striker, Cyril Dessers made a significant return from injury as he scored in Cremonese’s 6-0 friendly win over Salsomaggiore on Thursday.
Dessers who has been out for the Italian side since end of October featured in the tune up match, alongside his Nigerian compatriot, David Okereke who was also on the scoresheet.
The match filled with scoring spree started with four first half goals from Ascarcibar, Lochosvili, a penalty from Dessers and a fine finish by Okereke.
The second also witnessed two more goals registered by Ghana’s Afena Gyan and Sernicola for the newly promoted Serie A side.
The encounter afforded Cremonese coach to test new pattern and different style of play which may be beneficial as they set to restart the Lega Calcio early January.
Cremonese are not well placed on the Serie A table and will need such performance to beat the drop at the of the season.
