David Ankeye opens goal account in Tunisia

Nigerian midfielder, David Ankeye scored his first goal for Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 side, Hamam Sousse as Bizertin forced his side to a 2-2 draw on Saturday.
Hamam Sousse were without a point from the previous two games with defeats to Stade Tunisien (2-0) and Etoile Sahel (5-0).
The tide was to change as Helal gave the visitors (Hamam Sousse) the lead in the 34th minute.
The goal spurred the host to search for the equaliser which it eventually got in the 35th minute thanks to Mkaddem Bechir. David Ankeye restored Hamam Sousse’s lead in the 37th minute to give his side a half-time lead.
In the second half, Bizertin searched for the leveller and were rewarded with a spot kick in the 58th minute and Mkaddem Bechir converted the penalty to salvage a point for the host.
Hamam Sousse recorded earned its first point of the season and occupy the sixth position in Group A of the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 after three games.
David Ankeye and his team will hope to maintain the momentum and strive towards picking its first win of the campaign in its next game.
The midfielder joined Hamam Sousse from Swedish Division 1 Norra side, Hammarby TFF after the 2022 league season.
