David Beckham calls on ten Hag to retain Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Manchester United forward David Beckham has called on incoming manager Erik ten Hag to retain Cristiano Ronaldo.
There have been reports that United might be willing to part ways with the Portuguese if they don’t qualify for Europe but Beckham believes the striker can still play a vital role at Old Trafford.
“Obviously, Cristiano is one of the best players over the last 15 years with Leo [Messi]. To see him hopefully staying on at United is important for the fans and important for him. We know how much United means to him.

“And he is still doing what he does best. Scoring goals and creating, that’s what Cristiano does. Even at his age to be doing what he is doing is incredible. Hopefully, it continues and hopefully, he stays for another year or two,” Beckham told Sky Sports.
It is expected that United will have a major revamp in the summer with a series of players set to leave the club in search of new adventures; the lot includes midfielder Paul Pogba whose contract will expire in the coming month.
