Nigeria’s David Okereke was part of the goal scorers as Gaziantep played out a 2-2 draw with Kasimpa in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.

Nuno Da Costa opened scoring for Kasimpasa in the seventh minute with a good stretch to the ball inside the box in Istanbul.

The lead lasted for two minutes after which Okereke equalised with rebound.

His initial effort was saved before converting the rebound to level the scoreline.

Da Costa restored the host’s lead with four minutes remaining in the first half.

Halil Dervisoglu restored parity for Gaziantep in the 83rd minute of a game where two of the visitors goals were ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Okereke was replaced by Cyril Mandouki in the 86th minute after scoring his fifth goal of the league campaign for Gaziantep.

He has also provided two assists from 12 league games.

Gaziantep occupies the eighth position on the league table with 22 points after 17 games.

They will welcome Istanbulspor in the Turkish Cup on January 9, 2025.
