David Okoromi reveals Abubakar Bala motivation after inspiring Niger Tornadoes win

David Okoromi is ecstatic about his current form after inspiring Niger Tornadoes to to a 2-0 win over Wikki Tourists in a Nigeria Premier Football League encounter in Kaduna on Wednesday.

Okoromi joined Tornadoes at the start of current campaign and gone on to score four goals in four consecutive league matches, making him the club’s top scorer this season.

The former ABS FC forward expressed delight with his scoring spree just as he wished they see Tornadoes finishing among the top three places in Group B to qualify for the NPFL Super Six playoffs.

“I’m happy with what I’ve been able to do with Tornadoes this season, I’m grateful for the goals and its boosting my confidence,” Okoromi told NigeriaFootball.ng.

” My target is to see my goals help us to qualify for the Super Six. I want to thank our head Coach (Abubakar) because he is always pushing us and boosting our morals during our training sessions both on and off the pitch.

“He always tells me Okoromi you can do it, all you need to do is to put in more effort and be calm and you will get the goals. He knows me very well and my style of play and always advises me on what to do.

“When the goals come, I take it. I don’t want to give my self any pressure. I take it game by game and I am optimistic of getting more goals.”
