Davide Castelli tips Samuel Chukwueze to make impact in Italy
By Monsurah Olatunji

Former Villarreal forward, Davide Castelli has acknowledged Samuel Chukwueze’s attacking greatness.
The duo played together at Villarreal before the Italian attacker left the club in 2020.  Chukwueze made 207 appearances for Villarreal, scored 37 goals, and provided 31 assists during his stay before making a switch to AC Milan during the summer transfer window.
Although he has found it difficult to break into the first team since his arrival with the likes of Leao and Pulisic ahead of him, Davide insists the Nigerian is the strongest player ever he had played with in his career.
“There in Spain I also did some training with the first team, but without having the chance to make my debut,” Castelli told media.
“I tried to learn as much as possible. There was also Chukwueze, who among other things is the strongest player I’ve ever played with so far in my career.
“He arrived in Villarreal when I was in the Primavera. We started together, then within a year he climbed the categories and reached the first team.
“Samuel is a golden boy, always with a smile on his face. It’s not easy at Milan, he finds himself in a completely different environment, but I think that as soon as he gets used to the team and Italian football.
“He will be able to reach the top. He has nothing to fear in comparison with Leao.”
