Deborah Abiodun earns Team of the Season spot after remarkable exploits

Nigeria midfielder, Deborah Abiodun remarkable exploits for University of Pittsburgh soccer team was recognized as she made the Top Drawer Soccer best XI of the season.

The Top Drawer Soccer award recognizes exceptional talents in the US college soccer teams for the men and women.

Abiodun was a force to reckon with for her subtle and impressive performance for her side as she started 19 games from 24 matches to mark her debut season in an awesome manner.

The former Rivers Angels glamorous display was noticed by CAF and she made the shortlist for the 2023 young player of the year award.

The CAF Youth Player of the Year nominee led her team to the semifinal of the ACC Championship and the NCAA Elite Eight to cap up an impactful season with the Panthers.

Abiodun’s impressive stats saw her score six goals and recorded three assists to amass a personal 15 points for the season.

The Super Falcons midfielder had a terrific year in the international scene, she rose from the U20 team and made a breakthrough to the senior side in 2023 by featuring the FIFA Women’s World Cup and staging an excellent game in the group opener against Olympics champions, Canada.
