All indicators are pointing to a possible summer split between Rangers and Cyriel Dessers who has been strongly linked to AEK Athens and with his absence during the club’s 2-2 preseason draw against Club Brugge, it has further fuelled these rumors.
Negotiations between AEK Athens and Rangers for Dessers have stalled, as the Scottish club remains firm on their £5 million valuation.
AEK Athens are reluctant to meet that price, reportedly offering just under £3.85 million for the 30-year-old forward.
Despite the gap in valuation, discussions between both clubs are ongoing as they seek a possible compromise.
On the brighter side, new arrival Fernandez Emmanuel was in action as Rangers fought back from two goals down to deliver a share of the spoils in the pre-season clash against Club Brugge at Ibrox.
