Edison Cavani’s agent disapproves comparison with Victor Osimhen

Osimhen has been likened to many great players across the world for his brilliance after his 26 league goals helped Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.

Recently, former Napoli sporting director, Riccardo Bigon, said the former Lille man could reach greater heights under new manager, Mazzari, as he is similar to Cavani.

Bigon worked with Mazzarri during his first stint at Napoli, when Edinson Cavani, Marek Hamsik, and Ezekiel Lavezzi helped the Naples-based side reestablish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in Serie A and regulars in European competitions.

However, Anellucci begged to disagree with as he sees no similarities between the Nigerian star and Uruguay’s legend.

“I don’t find any similarity between Cavani and Osimhen,” he said, per Calcio Napoli.

“The Nigerian is certainly an important footballer; the championship season bears witness to this but the year of confirmation is always the following one: he always has many physical problems are a top club, and you can also see it from this.

“Maybe it’s because the heart is involved, but for me, Cavani is still superior to the current number nine. There were few of how Mazzarri’s Napoli worked.”
