Edith Agoye shops for new attackers for Sunshine Stars in transfer market

Technical adviser of Sunshine Stars, Edith Agoye has expressed concerns about his side’s profligacies despite ending the first round in second position in the Group B log of Nigeria Premier Football League.

The NPFL season is currently on mid-term break with Owena Whales finishing the first stanza with 15 points from nine matches and Agoye admits he’s looking out for at least two goal poachers to improve their scoring strength.

“We are happy to end the first round second on the log but we are not satisfied with what we did in attack,” the former Shooting Stars manager told media.

“We didn’t score up to number of goals we wanted, so we are looking to increase the depth of our attack with quality strikers and we hope those we are assessing will come good and help us with more goals.”

Sunshine Stars are one of the favorites tipped to qualify for the end of the season Super Six playoffs. The Nigeria Premier Football League mid season transfer window is open and will last for three weeks.
